Lil Durk, also known as Durkio, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is a founder and the lead member of collective and record label Only the Family (OTF). His songs as lead singer include “Viral Moment,” “3 Headed Goat,” “Backdoor,” “The Voice,” “Broadway Girls,” “Ahhh Ha,” “Hot Shit,” and “All My Life.” His featured songs include “Laugh Now Cry Later,” “Back in Blood,” “Every Chance I Get,” and “Who Want Smoke??” He is also known as The Voice, Smurk, and Durkio.

His father, Dontay Banks, Sr., is serving two life sentences without the possibility of parole. His brother, Dontay “DThang” Banks, Jr., and cousin, rapper McArthur “OTF NuNu” Swindle, have both been murdered on different occasions. His manager, Uchenna “OTF Chino Dolla” Agina, was also shot and killed.

He has six children.

Lil Durk’s paternal grandmother was Lee Dorothy Bowen (the daughter of Willie Bowens and Alma Godfrey). Lee was born in Greenville, Mississippi. Willie was the son of Willie Bowens and Erma Jones.

Lil Durk’s maternal grandmother is named Hattie Lee Woodard.
