Lauren Bowles is an American actress.

Lauren is the daughter of Judith and L. Thompson Bowles, who was Dean of the George Washington University Medical School. Her maternal half-sister is actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus. She is married to actor Patrick Fischler, with whom she has a daughter.

Lauren’s paternal grandfather was Ray McCune Bowles (the son of Benjamin Thompson Bowles and Rosa Belle Lawrence). Ray was born in Illinois. Benjamin was the son of William Bowles, whose father was born in Dublin, Ireland; and of Louisa Edna Ragsdale. Rosa was the daughter of Richard Dorsey Lawrence and Amanda Elizabeth Worthington.
