Lana Del Rey is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, poet, music video director, and model. She is also known as Lana Rey Del Mar, Lizzy Grant, May Jailer, and Sparkle Jump Rope Queen.
Lana is the daughter of Patricia, an account executive and schoolteacher, and Robert Grant, a Grey Group copywriter and entrepreneurial domain investor. She was raised mostly in Lake Placid, New York. She has said, “…we have our Scottish crest at home, Grandpa does. Bob, and then there’s Davey and Jimmy and Robbie… The family roots are in Lanarkshire and I will definitely be visiting at some point…”
Lana’s paternal grandfather was Robert England Grant, Sr. (the son of Benjamin William Grant and Violet England Rowell). Robert was born in New York, and was an investment banker and venture capitalist. He worked at Kidder, Peabody & Co., and was a vice president for Plough, Inc and Textron. Benjamin was the son of David Stuart Grant, whose parents were Scottish, and of Mary Jane Nice, whose father was Irish and whose mother was from Manchester, England. Lana’s great-grandmother Violet was the daughter of Morse Rowell, Jr., whose maternal grandparents were Irish, and of Isabela/Belle J. England.
Lana’s paternal grandmother was Cynthia Ann Kirk (the daughter of James Wickersham Kirk and Alice Elizabeth Woolridge/Wooldridge). Cynthia was born in Pennsylvania, and was of mostly Colonial American/English descent. James was the son of Albert DeWitt Kirk and Minnie Maude Wickersham. Alice was the daughter of Ashley E. Woolridge, whose mother was English, and of Agnes Goodwin/Goodwyn Dale.
Lana’s maternal grandfather was Donald Paul Hill (the son of Frank Judkins Hill and Marian/Marion Klepper). Donald was born in New York. Frank was the son of Frank M. Hill and Euritta Florence Brelford. Marian was the daughter of Barend/Bernard Klepper, who was born in the Netherlands, to German parents; and of Sarah Donnelly, who was born in Scotland, and likely had Irish ancestry.
Lana’s maternal grandmother was Madeline Patricia McClean (the daughter of Joseph Howard McClean and Madeline Montgomery). Lana’s grandmother Madeline was born in Brooklyn, New York. Joseph was the son of William Francis McClean and Anna Veronica “Annie” Delaney, who were born in New York, both of them to Irish parents. Madeline was the daughter of Thomas Montgomery, whose parents were born in New York, and of Mary Butler, whose parents were English.

Lana on her paternal grandfather’s side Mary Jane Nice was of Irish descent (father) and English descent (mother). Morse Rowell Jnr was of Deep British Colonial roots (basically all English through his father) and Irish (his mother’s parents). Isabela J England had Deep British Colonial roots (basically all English through his father) and mother’s side is still unknown but most likely British due to her name.

Lanas on her paternal grandmother’s side James Wickersham Kirk has Deep Colonial roots (father’s and mother’s side, mainly British Isles from what gathered and around 30% German/Dutch). Alice Elizabeth Woolridge was of mainly English descent with some Irish.

Lana’s maternal grandfather’s side Frank J Hill seems to be of Deep Colonial roots, but not much has been found from his side, but it seems likely he is of British Isles descent. Her paternal grandmother’s side Thomas Montgomery seems to be Irish, with documented evidence saying his parents were there but other records say they were born in NY. It seems plausible they were born there considering the last name.

I’m shocked to find out she has no Hispanic ancestry whatsoever. But then again, Del Rey is not her real last name. Giving me Hilaria Baldwin.
She’s never pretended to have Spanish ancestry. She’s nothing like Baldwin.
That’s her nickname. Then white Hispanics of dominant Euro roots have other face typically Spaniard not Anglo like her cause their major background is Spaniard.
She looks like a White Latina. Her last name also has in countries with Latinos like Portugal and Spain.
But “Del Rey” is not her real last name. And, speaking as a South American, she just looks Anglo or something like that.
