Kevin Smith was a New Zealand actor and musician. He starred as Ares on the shows Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, and Young Hercules.

He was raised in Timaru, on South Island. He was married to Suzanne, until his death, with whom he had three children.
