Jimmy Rollins is an American professional baseball player. A shortstop, he played for the Philadelphia Phillies, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He won four Golden Glove Awards and one MVP-1 award. He is nicknamed “J-Roll.”

Jimmy is the son of Gigi and Jimmy Rollins. His brother, Antwon, played minor league baseball, and his sister, Shay Rollins, played college baskbetall. He is married to Johari Smith, with whom he has two children. His cousin, Osiris Johnson, is also a professional baseball player.

He is also said to be a cousin of professional baseball player Tony Tarasco.

Jimmy’s paternal grandfather was named Lawrence C. Rollins.

Jimmy’s paternal grandmother was named Barbara L. Galloway.

    I suspect his maternal grandparents were John Edward Holmes and Ella McBride.

    He’s said to be a cousin of Tony Tarasco, but Tony is said to be of Trinidadian and Italian descent, so I’m not sure how they would be related.
