Jessica is married to Canadian professional ice hockey player Brad Richardson, with whom she has a daughter.
Jessica’s maternal grandfather is Ronald Szohr (the son of Philip S. Szohr and Marie C. Bayer). Ronald’s ancestry appears to be a mix of ethnic Germans and Hungarians. Philip was the son of Hungarian-born parents, Simon Szóhr/Sohr, from Tevel, and Erzsebeth/Elizabeth Grabenar, from Nagyvejke. Marie C. was also the daughter of Hungarian-born parents, Joseph Bayer and Clara, who was from Bács-Bodrog County.

She looks half or partially black, even when she straightens her hair. I think her character on Gossip Girl is half black and half white. I don’t think she is ashamed or trying to downplay her black side. Its not easy to “hide” that you’re black or partially black…even people who have “passed” for being straight up white look black to me.
I know about,I remember listening to a interview she did,I heard her say she just Hungarian ;she never mention the black part
Meant to say,(I don’t know about that)
Oh really? Thats pretty sad. This will sound mean, but she really can’t “pass”,as some people call it, for a straight up white girl. Its not about the complexion of her skin either; her facial features and bone structure seem to favor her black side.

^Emilee Fitzpatrick (from the Cancun season of The Real World) is a quarter black like Jessica Szohr, but she can “pass” for being just white much more easily…not that Emilee does it. She always acknowledges her black side.If Jessica Szhor ever told a black person that she was just Hungarian,I have a feeling that the person would tell her how she looks partially black or half black.Emilee has always stated how some black people never believe her that she’s one-quarter black. I’m talking about Emilee like she’s a real celebrity lol.
Oh, and forget about Jessica’s hair. Her facial features and bone structure still favor her black side to me. I will mention that when I first saw Emilee, she looked like she wasn’t completely white so I wasn’t really surprised when she mentioned that she was partially black.
First of all, REAL “Hungarians” are not “white” as in Anglo/Saxon European. They are the last tribe of Asiatic pastoral people to migrate to Europe in the 8th and 9th centuries. They are called “Turanids”, people of mixed Asian and Caucasian ancestry. Calling her “half Hungarian and a quarter African American simply means that one of her parents (father) was Hungarian and Mama was half Anglo, half black. Now that wasn’t too hard was it?

Also, looking at the photo in this article, I can see her eyes and facial features which are called “Alfoldi” in Hungary. Correctly, “Alfoldi valtozott” ref.” Ki vagyunk” a Hungarian publication
from the ’80’s. Meaning the look of the people of the Hungarian great plains region.
finally somebody who makes since
wowza! ppl got heated on here;) I love this girl, she is one of my new faves, as a mixed chick i love seeing other girls like me in the limlight.
mixed girls are ALWAYS in the limelight. Dark women like Whoopi Goldberg who look really African are typically considered ugly. Let’s see who America finds the “hottest”:
-Halle Berry
-Beyonce
-Vanessa Williams
-Thandie Newton
-Rihanna
-many more
As you can see, even if they aren’t half white exactly, they all look very mixed.
