Janet Gardner is an American rock singer. She was the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of all-female glam metal band Vixen. Other members of the band are/were Jan Kuehnemund, Roxy Petrucci, and Share Ross.

Janet’s paternal grandfather was Rulon Snow Gardner (the son of John Alexander Gardner and Celestia Snow). Rulon was born in Pine Valley, Utah. John was the son of Robert Gardner, Jr., a Scottish emigrant, from Kilsyth, Stirlingshire, and of Cynthia Lovina Berry, who had deep roots in the U.S. Celestia was the daughter of William Snow, who also had deep American roots, and of Ann Rogers, a Welsh emigrant, from East Lake Farm, Pembrokshire.

Janet’s paternal grandmother was Mayma Adeline Bowen (the daughter of William Potter Bowen and Mary Ann Raymond). Mayma was born in Logan, Utah. William was the son of Jonathan Slocum Bowen and Adeline Rice, and had roots in the U.S. Mary Ann was the daughter of Alonzo Pearis Raymond, who was of also of Colonial American descent, and of Zylpha Noble, an English emigrant, from Irchester, Northamptonshire.

Janet’s maternal grandfather was George Hazel Toolson (the son of George Peter Toolson and Mary Elizabeth Buxton). George Hazel was born in Smithfield, Utah. George Peter was the son of Andrew Toolson, a Swedish emigrant, from Quittinge, Kristianstad, and of Jorgine Kirstine Funk, a Danish emigrant, from Pedersker, Bornholm. Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of John Buxton, an English emigrant, from Sheffield, Yorkshire, and of Mary Anner Pond, who had deep roots in the U.S.

Janet’s maternal grandmother was Margaret Ella Matthews (the daughter of Timothy Matthews and Mary Elizabeth Poulton). Margaret was born in Oakley, Idaho. Timothy was an English emigrant, from Bedford, the son of William Matthews and Elizabeth Flinders. Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of William Poulton and Elizabeth Rasbass, who were English emigrants, from Wombourn, Staffordshire.
