Jack’s paternal grandfather was Paul Manuel Douglass, Jr. (the son of Paul Manuel Douglass and Pauline Isabelle Swiger). Jack’s grandfather Paul was born in Harrison, West Virginia. He descended from the Douglas Clan of the Scottish Lowlands. The spelling “Douglass” was first seen in Levy Douglass, who was born in Virginia in 1750.
