Irène Jacob is a French-Swiss actress. Her roles include the films The Double Life of Veronique, Claude, The Secret Garden, Prediction (1993), Three Colours: Red, Beyond the Clouds, Othello (1995), Incognito (1997), U.S. Marshals, The Big Brass Ring, Spy Games (1999), The Inner Life of Martin Frost, Dying of the Light, and Eternity (2016).

Irène is the daughter of Lise, a psychologist, and Maurice Jacob (Maurice René Michel Jacob), a theoretical particle physicist. Her brother, Francis Jacob, is a musician, and her other two brothers are scientists. Her family moved to Geneva, Switzerland, when she was three. Irène is married to French actor Jérôme Kircher, with whom she has two children, actors Paul Kircher and Samuel Kircher.

Irène’s paternal grandfather was named Maurice Jacob. Maurice was born in Izieux, Saint Chamond, and was a scientist and professor.
