Gale Anne Hurd is an American film and television producer.

Gale is the daughter of Lolita/Loretta and Frank Hirshstein/Hurd. Her father was Jewish and her mother was Catholic. Gale is married to screenwriter and director Jonathan Hensleigh. She has a daughter with her former husband, director and screenwriter Brian De Palma.

Gale’s paternal grandfather was Jacob Milton Hirshstein (the son of Ferdinand Hirshstein and Josephine Danbaum). Ferdinand was born in Prussia. Josephine was the daughter of parents from Germany.

Gale’s paternal grandmother was Gertrude Rosenberg (the daughter of Jacob Rosenberg and Charlotte Haas). Jacob was born in Breisach am Rhein, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the son of Goetsch L.
