Don has two children with his former wife Patricia Shnier McLean, of Canada.

I’m Scottish and I’m Italian and I feel both. I can tell in my personality what side of me is Scottish and what side of me is Italian. I’m very lyrical and there’s passion in me, organisation and a business-like aspect too. And it’s this Scottish side of me that wanted to sell all this stuff, because I wanted to get the best price I can for my family.

Don’s paternal grandmother was Olive Carnright (the daughter of John Field Carnright/Carnwright and Anna Murilla Wood). Olive was born in New York. John was the son of Abraham Carnwright and Sophia Myer. Anna was the daughter of Stevenson Wood and Cordelia Ousterhoudt.
Don’s maternal grandfather was Antonio Bucci (the son of Domenico Bucci and Santa D’Rosa). Antonio was Italian.
Don’s maternal grandmother was Mariangela Salvatore (the daughter of Antonio Salvatore and Angela D’Pavlo). Mariangela was Italian.
