David Luiz is a Brazilian professional footballer. Primarily a centre back and also a defensive midfielder, he plays for Flamengo. He has also been with Vitória, Benfica, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal, and the Brazil national team. On 23 May, 2014, he agreed to a transfer that would send him to Paris Saint-Germain for a reported fee of £50 million, a record for a defender. He is also a Portuguese citizen.
