Cleavon Little was an American actor. His roles include the films Vanishing Point, Blazing Saddles, Greased Lightning, FM (1978), Scavenger Hunt, Toy Soldiers (1984), and Once Bitten, the series Temperatures Rising, Dear John, and True Colors, the mini-series Separate but Equal (1991), and many stage performances.
He was the son of De Etta Bowens Jones and Malachi Little. His sister was singer DeEtta Little West, who co-sang “Gonna Fly Now” from Rocky. Cleavon was partly raised in San Diego, California. He had a daughter, multi-media artist Adia Millett.
Cleavon’s paternal grandfather was named Jake Little.
