And I say the same thing to those whites that live in trailer parks

I’ve noticed on this site that white people are listed as always having mulitple ethnicities (sometimes without even any proof) but as far as “black” celebrities when they are clearly mixed, such as Ciara and Keri Hilson are only labled as “African American” Maybe black people don’t look into their geneologys as much? IDK but it comes across really racist.

She is lightskin african american, that has probably never met one of her ancestors because it was probably 100’s of years ago when it happened- this is the case for about 95% of African Americans even the dark ones they have a distant white relative who they have never met- they are still African American- so why would she put another race-when she doesnt know what that other race is. I had this discussion with some of my lightskin friends with light color hair and eyes- they said they got to see this sight because it is bogus! Since when have light skin blacks not been African American? If you come to my neighborhood you will see so many lightskin blacks who have nothing but lightskin people in their family and they can not point out not one white person in their family. This is the case for so many lightskin people they have always been black and will continue to claim to be black what is so hard to realize about this. Now someone like Alicia Keys is mixed! She has one white parent and one black parent- that is a mixed person!

I meant probably never met one of her white ancestors!

        • Kyrie Smith says:

Most black people haven’t met the white ancestors that contributed to their color. My nana is light skinned, but all of the white in her came from our family’s slave owners and maybe a droplet of native american. My cousin came out light skinned with two dark parents and she looks a lot like my nana. My nana’s mom was light too. But we’re big on geneology. We know the name of the family that owned ours and where they lived and moved there from and everything.

        James!

Dude you can’t be from the states. African Americans often do not know what their genealogy is b/c their ancestors were captives and not immigrants. We know that there is some admixture, but we often do not know with what. Many of our ancestors were victims of rape by their Masters. How can you acknowledge something that you do not know? My mother has green eyes and light skin. Her mother and her father are of beautiful chocolate complexion. She looks identical to both of them, so we know that they are her biological parents. This is the story of almost every African American. We know there is something there, but what? Many act as if slavery was centuries ago( especially younger multiracial kids). They are the same generation who believe that computers always existed, or that cave men had cells phones, or better yet that the civil rights movement was a best sellers by John Grisham.

Why you word your phrases like you guys? And y’all? What that suppose to mean? Are you upset because some ppl wanna be ignorant in the world. Don’t prove yourself to be more ignorant than them. Anyways who cares what anyone is. If everyone was mixed together people would find a way to fight and argue about that. This site was made for ppl to kno what they favorite stars ethnicity is… which is a bad idea considering people wanna show the world how ignorant they really are. Who gives a damn what anyone is, we all people. Every race/ethnicty is beautiful.
