Chaim Topol is an Israeli actor, singer, comedian, voice artist, film producer, author, and illustrator. He is known for starring in the film version of Fiddler on the Roof (1971), and for his roles in Flash Gordon (1980) and the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only, among other work. He has also been credited as Haym Topol and Topol.

He is the son of Rella (Goldman) and Yaacov Topol, who were Polish Jews. He is married to Galia Finkelstein, with whom he has three children.

Chaim’s paternal grandfather was named Chaim Topol (the son of Bezalel Topol and Ester).

Chaim’s paternal grandmother was named Gitel Mishler (the daughter of Eliyahu Mishler and Ester).

Chaim’s maternal grandfather was named Baruch Yosef Goldman.

Chaim’s maternal grandmother was named Bluma Mendelbaum (the daughter of Chaim Mendelbaum and Bracha).
