Angourie Rice is an Australian actress. She is the daughter of Kate Rice, a writer, and Jeremy Rice, a director. She is known for her roles in the films The Nice Guys and Every Day, among others.
I knew a scottish person with Rice as their last name but its entirely possible he wasn’t 100% Scottish. I tried looking for more information and only found that the surname Rice was only present in Scotland between 1840 and 1920.
IMO – from the look of her jaw and large cheeks, probably a high mixture of German
additionally, Rice is both English (15-17c), but also transliterated Germanic for “Reiss”
Rice is also Irish (even Welsh from Rees/Rhys but rarer). I may agree about the German thing.
