    • Andrea says:

Dominican and Puerto Rican is a f*cling nationality you dumb ass not a race. A nationality is a place you are FROM! You cab be any color and be dominican, Puerto Rican or w.e stfu. Ugh.

    • BigMama says:

@bow Down Bitches agree with you! They are searching all the mixed race and other ethnicities to confuse everybody … Same with Cubans.

@Andre No Cuban , PRicans and Dominicans are not race, but PRico is more Mestizo (native/white) multi racial (white, native, some black) and white population…. Cuba is 65 %white or predominantly white and the rest are mixed Mulattoes (from black and white ) and 16% black…. Dominican Republic is predominately mixed mulatto (from black and white) the 73% of the population…. Obyusly Cubans and Dominican have some por et of native blood but predominately black and white

      • BigMama says:

Obviously Cubans and Dominican have some of native blood but predominately black and white*

      • BigMama says:

Cuba: According to Cuba’s Oficina Nacional de Estadisticas ONE 2012 Census, the population was 11,167,325 including:The racial make-up was 7,160,399 whites, 1,034,044 blacks and 2,972,882 mulattoes or mestizos.

Puerto Rican: Studies have shown that the ancestry of the “average” white Puerto Rican person is about 64% European, 21% African, and 15% Taino/Amerindian, with European ancestry strongest on the west side of the island, African ancestry strongest on the east side, and consistent levels of Taino ancestry throughout the island.[36] In fact, even though 75% of Puerto Ricans self-identify as white.

Dominican Republic: According to recent genealogical DNA testing, the genetic makeup of the Dominican Republic’s population is estimated to be 52.15% European, 39.57% Sub-Saharan African, and 8.28% Native American overall. Most Dominicans fall within three major ethno-racial groups. The last census conducted in the country estimated the population as 73% mixed race (mainly of African and European descent), 16% White European (mainly of Spanish and French descent), and 11% Black African.

Some of them are some of them aren’t.

Gina Torres and Christina Milian are black Cubans. Eva amended is a mestizo Cuban. Cameron Diaz is a white Cuban.

      These are all nationalities.

Dominican Republic is in the Island La Hispanola,na half island is DR and the other half is another country called Haiti. theres mixed people in both countries, but specially in Dominican Republic more of the 73% are mixed. Mulatos (black and white, people don’t like to use it like and adjective, but is used in some Antilles including DR ), mestizos (native and white), Native and black, and Multiracial. Dominicans don’t say are white, they feel proud of all there roots, etnically and culturally proud. They have beautiful cuture, people, beaches and important monuments. All of you have a nice day! Peace and love :)

    • arjanguelsk says:

I have been with Dominicans my entire life. I have NEVER see in Dominicans the so call “self hate” and “being in denial”.
For Dominicans is not just the skin is everything, hair, eyes, blood (genes), family genes, type of body, mouth, ascendence…all all the admixtures, cuz’ they are proud of all…. for these reason the Topic about “race” is not something Dominican speak about since most Dominicans just don’t care.

Because Dominicans see a White Dominican as the same as a Black Dominican or a Mix Dominican.Thats all!

Then you all are crazy for something they don’t care!…

There is the same, no matter skin color. undertand? It’s also such a double standard with Dominicans.

Even if you ask to an apparently white or ligth skin On DR ARE YOU WHITE? don’t be surprise if many of them Answer: NO! AM NOT WHITE, I’M DOMINICAN or YES MY SKIN IS BUT NOT ALL OF ME CUZ I’M DOMINICAN, claiming ALL THE ROOTS. Does this mean that these Dominicans are White Self haters too? No! They are proud of all their roots! And that is good. If you are mixed, you are mixed.

Now I say goodbye again, and forever, i will not talk again in Zoe. Kisses.

Also similiar genetic studies have been done on other Carribean islands like Jamaica, Trinidad etc, predominantly African too but still mixed and populated with Indians, whites.. All islands have some degree of admixture. Puerto Rico is the most mixed I would say.

    • WestIndiangrl says:

Trinidad is Not predominantly Black More than half the population of Trinidad & tobago Is of East Indian descent :) also with other ethnic groups (black chinese syrian lebanese white amerindian etc)
