I think this might be his mother. It would mean that his maternal grandparents were Joseph Donigan and Frances McGary, both Irish.

You can tell it’s dickless Joey because he always adds that someone’s ancestor was born in Berlin, Germany. Boyce doesn’t know that there weren’t a whole lot of people who were born in Berlin moving to the United States in, say, the 1800s. The move from Berlin to the U.S. really only started around the time they had an election and the wrong people won.
