She is known for starring as Erica Kane on All My Children, a performance she had given for four decades, and for her role on Devious Maids, among other work. She is married to Austrian businessperson Helmut Huber, with whom she has two children, including actress Liza Huber.

Ethnic, where did you get the information that Susan’s mother was of French descent? Maternal grandfather was Swedish and maternal grandmother had all four grandparents from Germany? Susan’s maternal grandmother was Rose Sonner, the daughter of John B. Sonner (1838-1903) Germany, and Rosela Guntersdorf (1850-1913) Pennsylvania. Rosela was the daughter of Casper Guntersdorf and Margaret. they were both German.

According to her Wikipedia profile in Italian, Alfredo Lucci (Susan’s father) was an immigrant from Gubbio, Province of Perugia, Umbria, Italy, who moved to Pennsylvania during WWII.
