She is the daughter of actress Susan Lucci and Austrian businessperson Helmut Huber. She is married to Alexander George Hesterberg III, with whom she has four children.

Liza’s maternal grandfather was Victor Lucci (the son of Nazzareno/Nazareno Ciucci, later Lucci, and of Rosaria/Rosario Di Lario/D’Ilario). Victor was born in New York, to Italian parents. Nazzareno was from Tagliacozzo, Province of L’Aquila, Abruzzo. His parents likely were Antonio Ciucci and Angela Marie/Felice D’Orazio. Rosario was the daughter of Gracinto/Giacinto Di Lario/D’Ilario and Fortunata Torturo.

Liza’s maternal grandmother was Jeanette/Jeannette Granquist (the daughter of John Granquist and Rose Sonner). Jeanette was born in Pennsylvania. John was Swedish.
