Shelley Long is an American actress, singer, and comedian. Her roles include the show Cheers, the films A Small Circle of Friends, Caveman, Night Shift, Losin’ It, Irreconcilable Differences, The Money Pit, Outrageous Fortune, Hello Again, Troop Beverly Hills, Don’t Tell Her It’s Me, Frozen Assets, The Brady Bunch Movie, A Very Brady Sequel, Dr. T & the Women, and Best Man Down, and the made-for-TV movies Voices Within: The Lives of Truddi Chase, Freaky Friday (1995), Suzie Q, and Holiday Engagement.
She is the daughter of Ivadine, a schoolteacher, and Leland Long, who worked in the rubber industry, and was also a teacher. She has a daughter with her former husband, securities broker Bruce Tyson.
