Ryne Sanborn is an American ice hockey player and actor. He is known for his role, as Jason Cross, in the High School Musical franchise, and for co-starring in the film The Adventures of Food Boy. He is nicknamed “Ryno.”

Ryne’s paternal grandfather was Charles G. “Chuck” Sanborn (the son of Charles W. Sanborn and Almeda Katherine Parsons). Ryne’s grandfather Charles was born in South Dakota. Ryne’s great-grandfather Charles was born in South Dakota, the son of Charles Elwood Sanborn and Millie Mabel Stout. Almeda was born in South Dakota, the daughter of John William Parsons and Netta Mae Welch.

Ryne’s paternal grandmother was Jerelyn Gaye Larsen/Larson (the daughter of Clifford Larsen and Evelyn V. Kellar). Jerelyn was born in South Dakota. Clifford was born in South Dakota, to Danish parents, Nels Christian Larsen and Christina Petersen. Evelyn was born in South Dakota, the daughter of John Henry Kellar, whose mother was English; and of Minerva Hannum/Hamm.
