Ryan Binkley is an American minister and businessperson. He is the lead pastor of Create Church in Richardson, Texas, which he co-founded with his wife Ellie. He is also the co-founder and CEO of Generational Equity Group, and leads Binkley Co., which acquired the newspaper the Anchorage Daily News in 2017. He was previously young adult pastor for Victory World Church.

He was a candidate for the Republican Party’s nomination for President of the United States in 2024.

Ryan is the son of Judy Gray and John Binkley (John Emerson Binkley), an Alaskan riverboat pilot, businessperson, and politician. His father served one term, each, in the Alaska House of Representatives, and the Alaska Senate during the 1980s; and was elected chair of the non-partisan Alaska Redistricting Board.

Ryan’s paternal grandfather was Charles Madison “Captain Jim” Binkley, Jr. (the son of Charles Madison Binkley and Fannie Etta Ordway). Ryan’s grandfather Charles was born in Wrangell, City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska, to parents who were pioneers of the Gold Rush. Ryan’s great-grandfather Charles was born in Indiana, and came to Alaska through the Chilkoot Pass in 1898; he was a riverboat captain. He was the son of John Binkley and Emma Linton/Sinton. Ryan’s great-grandmother Fannie was the daughter of John Dale Ordway, who was Australian, and of Mary Wormer, who was born in England.

Ryan’s paternal grandmother was Mary Hall (the daughter of Evan Silas Hall and Ruth Ellen Whisler). Evan was born in Kentucky, the son of Wilburn Hall and Elizabeth Frasure. Ruth was the daughter of John B. Whisler.
