Rosario’s mother, Isabel Celeste, is a writer and singer, and is of Puerto Rican and African-Cuban descent. Her mother has Taíno roots. Rosario was raised by her mother and stepfather, Greg Dawson, who gave her his surname; Greg is said to be of Irish and Native American ancestry. Rosario’s biological father is named Patrick Harris. It does not appear to be publicly known what Patrick’s ancestry is.
She was raised partly in Garland, Texas.
Rosario has a daughter, who is adopted.
Rosario’s maternal grandmother was Isabel Quiñones (the daughter of Antonio Quiñones and Celestina Alvira y Torres). Isabel was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Antonio was the son of Ceferino Quiñones and Francisca Quiñones y Rivera. Celestina was the daughter of Eusebio Alvira y Rivera and Teresa Rexach y Torres.

CORRECTION: I met Rosario’s paternal grandmother years ago. She’s Apache and her husband (Rosario’s biological father’s father) was white. We met at a Native American cultural center.

Most of us are metiz@s, Latino as in Latin American denotes by both nature and history a mixed race people, truly white Latinos are few compared to everyone else, who is either mestizo, mulato or a mix of both, unless you’re talking about the (white, European) Latinos of Spain, Italy, France, and Portugal, and even THOSE “true” Latin countries have had great amounts of mixing into their DNA through centuries and migrations! Even in Argentina, which is often thought of as lily white, many people have indigenous blood, and with some people you can tell by just looking at them. So ignorant. Well I can’t speak for most black men, seeing how I don’t know all of them. Nor can I speak for those particular ones on youtude (crying about not liking dark girls).Also I know we are flooded with the idea that lighter is better. However my family is a rainbow of colors, and the lightskin girls are just as crazy as the dark ones .However as far the black men I do know , it’s about proximity .Whether the girl be light or dark they will try to get at her
