Rome is the son of Necole Alexander, who owns a soul food restaurant, and Rome Flynn. He has stated, “I’m Afro-Cuban.” It appears that his father is of half black and half white descent. Rome’s mother is also black.
Rome has a daughter.
Rome’s paternal grandmother likely is named Marian Flynn. Marian was born in Illinois, and is white.

Weird. I see people linking to social media accounts all of the time here to show parents and grandparents, many times their own personal accounts. Sometimes, the links are included in the source section of the profile. Morever, his father’s account doesn’t even appear to be public.
Anyway, that Rome Flynn is his father. I thought it’d provide another place to research, and certainly with less personal information than the other public information websites we link to.

I think I’ve cracked a bit of his paternal side. Rome T. Flynn (he might be a senior) is likely from Illinois, possibly Peoria or Springfield. Flynn’s mother looks to be named Darlene A. Flynn (nee Bromley). If the people connected to her are her blood relatives, the Bromley are either white or predominantly white. They also appear to be from Illinois.
As for Darlene’s husband/partner, I can’t find anything. But, honestly, it would seem Rome is probably just black and white with deep roots in central Illinois. Maybe his mother told him he was Cuban. I don’t know.

Yep, pretty sure the Darlene Ann Bromley is the mother of 48-year-old Rome T. Flynn of Peoria, Illinois. This article of the actor mentions that for a time he went to live with his father in…Peoria.

The older Flynn looks to have been born August 7, 1972. Still can not find anything on the elder Flynn’s father, but the surname appears to be where the Irish comes from.
Rome Sr. also lived in Wisconsin. If you find me one other site other than mylife (which is geoblocked and I can’t open) that connects these two people, I’ll give it a thought. As of right now, all I know for certain is that his mother is deceased. Is Darlene deceased?
