Richard Lynch was an American actor. Often appearing in genre projects, his roles included the films Scarecrow, The Seven-Ups (1973), God Told Me To, Stunts (1977), Deathsport, The Ninth Configuration, The Sword and the Sorcerer, Cut and Run, Invasion USA, The Barbarians (1987), Little Nikita, Bad Dreams, Trancers II, Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge, H.P. Lovecraft’s: Necronomicon, Werewolf (1996), and Rob Zombie’s Halloween, and television’s Battlestar Galactica, Vega$, Starsky and Hutch, Galactica 1980, The Fall Guy, Blue Thunder, The A-Team, Airwolf, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Murder, She Wrote; and Charmed. He was known for his distinctive blue eyes, and scarred appearance.
He was the son of Mildred and William Lynch. His brother is actor Barry Lynch. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Richard had a son with his former wife Béatrix Mattalia.
Richard’s maternal grandfather was Hugh Adams (the son of Sarah Mccarroll). Hugh was born in Ballyclose, Newtownlimavady, County Derry, Ireland. Sarah was born in Coleraine, County Derry, the daughter of James McCarroll and Lydthia Arthur.
Richard’s maternal grandmother was Eda Maria Andersson/Anderson (the daughter of Victor Andersson and Gustafva Lovisa Persdotter). Eda was born in Motala, Östergötland, Sweden.
