    Andrew, I figured out Gerber’s mother’s ancestry.

Off topic question follers, but will we find out this weekend if John Stamos is 1/8th Ashkenazi Jewish or 1/8th ethnic eastern european?

      • follers says:

No. We’ll likely just delve into his father’s Greek ancestry.

I think it’s entirely possible that it would be impossible to know Stamos’ great-grandfather’s ancestry from existing U.S. records, only from a DNA test.

Since his great-grandfather listed his language as “Russian”, but was almost certainly not an ethnic Russian from Riga, Latvia, I think it’s very likely he was Jewish. In my experience, ethnic Germans would have listed their language as “German”.
