Rain Spencer is an American actress. She is known for her roles on the show The Summer I Turned Pretty and in the film Good Girl Jane.

Rain was born in Germany, as her father worked at an overseas American military base. She moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, at age three, and moved to Los Angeles, California, at age eight.

Rain’s paternal grandfather is the son of Edward Everette Spencer and Hilda Frances Sellers. Edward was born in Columbia, South Carolina, the son of Thomas William Spencer and Lena Victoria Ottoway, who were from North Carolina. Hilda was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, the daughter of Nash Mercer Sellers, who was from Winnabow, and of Daisy Thetis Prevatte, who was from Lumberton.

Rain’s paternal grandmother is the daughter of Leland Quitman McNeely and Mary Pearl Browning. Leland was born in Bushy Creek, South Carolina, the son of William Wesley McNeely, from Bushy Creek, and of Sarah Alice Merritt. Mary was born in Greenville County, South Carolina, the daughter of Walter W. Browning and Pearl Allison.

Rain’s maternal grandfather is the son of Charles Quintard Cherry, Jr. and Jane Beasley.
