Philip S. Goldberg, also known simply as Philip Goldberg, is an American bipartisan diplomat, government official, and career ambassador. He has been U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, since July 12, 2022. He has also been U.S. Ambassador to Chile, from July 23, 2001 to March 25, 2002, Chief of Mission of the U.S. Office in Pristina, from July 28, 2004 to July 4, 2006, U.S. Ambassador to Bolivia, from October 13, 2006 to September 14, 2008, Assistant Secretary of State for Intelligence and Research, from February 16, 2010 to November 21, 2013, U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines, from December 2, 2013 to October 28, 2016, U.S. Ambassador to Cuba, from February 11, 2018 to July 20, 2018, and U.S. Ambassador to Colombia, from September 19, 2019 to June 1, 2022.
Philip is the son of Edna and Morton William Goldberg.
