Philip Goldberg is a senior United States diplomat and government official. He is the United States Ambassador to the Philippines. Philip is the son of Edna (Cohen) and Morton William Goldberg.

Philip’s paternal grandparents were Charles Goldberg (the son of Max Goldberg and Silvia G. Rubenstein) and Anna L. Karesky (the daughter of Louis Karesky and Bertha Rosenstein). Charles and Anna were Russian Jewish immigrants.

Philip’s maternal grandparents were Hyman J. Cohen and Lillian “Annie” Lodgen. Hyman was a Latvian Jewish immigrant, from Riga. Lillian was a Russian Jewish immigrant.
