Pete Postlethwaite was an English actor. His roles included the films Distant Voices, Still Lives; AlienĀ³, Waterland, The Last of the Mohicans (1992), In the Name of the Father, The Usual Suspects, James and the Giant Peach, Dragonheart, William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Amistad, Among Giants, The Shipping News, Dark Water (2005), The Constant Gardener, The Omen (2006), Clash of the Titans (2010), Inception, and The Town (2010), and television’s The Professionals and Sharpe.

Pete was the son of Mary Geraldine (Lawless) and William Postlethwaite, who was a cooper, wood machinist, and school caretaker. He was married to BBC producer Jacqueline Morrish, until his death, with whom he had two children, including actor Billy Postlethwaite.
