7% southern European… I remember on the old Ancestry DNA results that meant Italy/Greece. He looks like he could be part Italian and his DNA shows it. and he looks Ashkenazi as well!
Get help, loser.
In 2008 I wanted to see gay porn of Palin and McCain…. Meghan McCain that is. She is stunning.
What’s happening to this site? It was better when Afrocentrism was the main topic back than. Now it seems outdated
You’re right, sorry. I was making a joke with my buddy neiltennant. I respect this website and I’ll keep it genealogy related
Or else comments will be deleted.
It’s funny how most of neiltennant’s comments has to be censored nowadays. Sometimes I wonder what he actually wrote.
I think neiltennant’s comment was outrageous and offensive. Who doesn’t know that McCain ran with Palin and it was Romney that ran with Ryan? Honestly.
Paul Ryan is like my first cousin. almost half German and ancestry DNA detected 3% European/Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry. I am jealous of my cousin but I should be happy for him because he is such a nice guy :-)
Those geographical categories by DNA are too vague and not accurate to be taken seriously. It looks like the Risiko game.
In Paul Ryan’s specific case Finding Your Roots found a Jewish 10th great grandfather born in Germany, which helps prove your point nowhere near 3% (5 generations back). I really am curious about my cousin though. He agrees with you that I have a fetish for Jewish people and rubs it in that he is 3% and I am 0% :( but it’s all in good spirit
Did they find his name?
However even Lothar Matthaus (you may have no clue about him) scored a tiny Ashkenazi Jewish %, among other things, in a DNA test. I added his profile, have a look.
4.3% fascinating. The name of Paul Ryan’s 10th great-grandfather from the 1500’s? As far as I know they didn’t show who he was and where on the mother’s side of the family to locate him. BTW since all Ashkenazi Jews are distantly related genetically I guess Cousin Douglas and Neil Tennant are family https://www.tabletmag.com/scroll/184252/study-says-all-ashkenazi-jews-are-30th-cousins
No such ancestor was found by name. No mention of 10th great-grandfather. I don’t know where you’re getting this from.
https://www.haaretz.com/us-news/house-speaker-paul-ryan-finds-out-he-s-3-jewish-1.6338184 “Gates said Tuesday at a TV critics meeting that he traced Ryan’s heritage back to his 10th great-grandfather born in 1531 in Germany. The research showed Ryan is 3 percent Ashkenazi Jewish.” ???????
oh sorry never mind.
“Gates said Tuesday at a TV critics meeting that he traced Ryan’s heritage back to his 10th great-grandfather born in 1531 in Germany.”
A non-Jewish ancestor, to clarify.
Thanks for explaining. But if they can’t trace a Jewish ancestor going back 12 generations how can he be 3%?
They haven’t traced all his ancestry going back to 1531. Only one ancestor on the German side.
Am I the only one who finds it strange that Paul Ryan has 12.5% British ancestry (English + Scottish) yet the DNA test shows no trace of it?
How are you getting it doesn’t show it when literally 61% of him is British Isles at least? There is no such thing as “British” DNA to begin with, and no company only measures English + Scottish. It’s all too mixed to be that fine-grained a measurement.
More than that, the Irish + English (possibly Scottish) literally ads up to almost exactly what the actual DNA test found for that region. It’s uncannily accurate.
Hi Oaken05. I think that Paul Ryan’s DNA results are from Ancestry DNA where they have an Irish/Scottish region and an England/Wales region. Before it was Irish/Scottish/Welsh and England. My question was why he didn’t have any English or English/Welsh category but you make a good point. BTW I looked at your comments, did you have trouble logging into this website before? Only asking because I couldn’t tell if I was blocked or everyone had this trouble. Thanks, Jackson9/Bearboy
Do you mean that the site was down a few days ago? Why would that mean you were blocked?
