Pat Sajak is an American television personality, game show host, and actor. He has hosted Wheel of Fortune since 1981. He was a disc jockey for the American Forces Vietnam Network during Vietnam. He has also appeared in the film Airplane II: The Sequel, and on the series Days of Our Lives and Rugrats; guest-hosted Larry King Live and Live with Regis and Kelly, and hosted Prime Time Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. He has been external director of publishing house Eagle Publishing, and co-written puzzle game “Lucky Letters,” among others.
Pat is the son of Joyce Helen and Leonard Anthony Sajdak. His father was born in Michigan. His mother was born in Illinois. All of his grandparents were Polish.
He is married to photographer Lesly Brown-Sajak, with whom he has two children, including country music singer Maggie Sajak.
