Nicolas Winding Refn is a Danish film director, screenwriter, and producer.

He is the son of Anders Refn, a film director and editor, and Vibeke Winding (Tuxen), a cinematographer. Nicolas’s ancestry includes Danish, Swedish, and some German and Finland-Swedish. He is married to actress and documentary filmmaker Liv Corfixen, with whom he has two children.

Nicolas is described on the internet as being of Jewish heritage. This does not appear to be accurate.
