Nick Kroll is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. Nick is the son of Lynn and Jules B. Kroll, a businessperson, who founded the company Kroll, Inc., a corporate investigations and risk consulting firm, which is usually considered as the founder of the modern corporate investigations industry.

Nick was raised in Conservative Judaism.

Nick is married to landscape artist Lily Kwong, with whom he has a son.

His sister, Vanessa, is married to British-American broadcaster, podcaster, and filmmaker Roger Bennett.

Nick’s paternal grandfather was Herman A. Kroll (the son of Max Kroll and Mary Axelrod). Herman was born in New York, to Russian Jewish parents.

Nick’s paternal grandmother was Florence “Flo” Yondorf (the daughter of Philip/Phillip Yondorf and Mollie/Millie April). Florence was born in New York. Philip was born in New York, the son of Yosef/Joseph Yondorf, an English Jewish immigrant, and Malka/Mathilda/Matilda Nathan, a German Jewish immigrant. Mollie was the daughter of Barnett/Bernhard/Bernard/Benjamin April and Sarah Kesstenbaum, who were Austrian Jewish immigrants.

Nick’s maternal grandfather was named Eugene J. Kupferman/Korda (the son of Morris Kupferman and Yetta). Eugene was born in Austria, to Polish Jewish parents, from Tarnów, and had left for the U.S. before World War II. Morris was the son of Ascher Kupferman and Malka.

Nick’s maternal grandmother was named Celia W.
