Mark Kelly is an American politician, astronaut, engineer, and retired U.S. Navy captain. A member of the Democratic Party, he has served as a U.S. Senator from Arizona, since December 2, 2020.
Mark is the son of Patricia and Richard Kelly. His identical twin brother, Scott Kelly, is an engineer, astronaut, and naval aviator.
Mark is married to politician and gun control advocate Gabby Giffords, who was a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona, from January 3, 2007 to January 25, 2012. Gabby is a second cousin of actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Mark has two children with his former wife Amelia Babis.
