Lily Gladstone is an American actress. Her roles include the films Jimmy P: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian, Winter in the Blood, Certain Women, Buster’s Mal Heart, Walking Out, First Cow, and Killers of the Flower Moon, and the shows Crash Course, Room 104, Billions, and Reservation Dogs.
Her father is of mostly Native American/First Nations descent. Her mother is white. Her mother, Betty Peace-Gladstone, is an educator. Her cousin is singer, songwriter, poet, and speaker Jack Gladstone. Lily was raised in Browning and East Glacier, in Montana.
Lily’s paternal great-great-great-grandfather was treaty chief Red Crow (c. 1830-1900), also known as Mékaisto/Mi’kasto, Captured the Gun Inside, Lately Gone, Sitting White Bull, and John Mikahestow. Red Crow was born in Kainai territory, now Alberta, the son of Black Bear and Handsome Woman. He was Blackfoot.
Lily has stated that a great-great-grandfather was a first cousin of William Gladstone (1809-1898), a British, Liberal Party politician, who was Prime Minister of the U.K. four times in the second half of the 1800s. Prime Minister Gladstone was the son of Scottish parents, Sir John Gladstone, 1st Baronet Gladstone, of Fasque, and Anne Mackenzie Robertson. Lily and the Prime Minister do not appear to share common Gladstone/Gladstones ancestors at least through the 1700s.
Lily’s paternal grandfather was George Louis Gladstone (the son of Alexander/Alex Clarence Gladstone and Lillian Wagner). George was born in Montana. Alexander was born in Canada, the son of William Gladstone/Gladston, who was born in Edmonton, Alberta, of part Métis descent; and of Mary/Marie Samat/St Marks/Vandal Johnston, who was born in Saskatchewan, of Métis ancestry. Lillian was the daughter of John William Wagner, who was Native American, of at least part Blackfoot ancestry; and of Mary Lucy Red Crow/Redcrow, whose father was Red Crow.
Lily’s paternal grandmother was Ermith Scott (the daughter of Lyman Antoine Scott and Greetis/Gretis Elizabeth Goldner). Lyman was born in Idaho, and was of mostly Nez Perce descent, the son of John Scott and Margaret Broncheau/Bronche. Greetis was born in Idaho, of English, German, Luxembourgish, and distant Scottish, descent. She was the daughter of George William Goldner, whose mother was born in Schlenmizer, Lubian, Wellers, Luxembourg; and of Ethel Rae Bateman.
Lily’s maternal grandfather likely was Thomas Franklin Peace/Pease (the son of Needham O. Peese and Amy Janet Dees). Thomas was born in Texas, to parents from Louisiana. Needham was the son of Zachariah Jones Peace and Sarah/Sallie Jane Nelson. Amy was the daughter of Bailey B. Dees and Margaret Ann Morgan.
Lily’s maternal grandmother likely was Evangeline May Ver Lee (the daughter of Rutherford Isaac Ver Lee/Verlee and Mary Evangeline Stockett/Stocket). Evangeline was born in Colorado. Rutherford was born in Michigan, the son of Isaac Ver Lee and Elizabeth Douvstra, both of whom were the children of Dutch parents. Mary was born in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Benjiman F. Stockett and Mina M. Fuller.

I think this makes Lily ~11% Nez Perce, ~9% Blackfoot, ~8% Metis?
Ermith had a white mother, of German, English, Luxembourgish descent, and her father was supposedly 7/8 Nez Perce.

For George, it seems his grandmothers, Mary Samat/Vandal and Mary Red Crow, were Metis and Blackfoot, respectively. William Gladstone, his paternal grandfather, was apparently a quarter Metis. His maternal grandmother John William Wagner looks to be half Blackfoot.
Maybe Métis should be in the tag too, the Métis are also in parts of Montana too
or unless she might have the Métis roots from Canada too
Lily’s paternal grandparents were likely Chester Eldon Gladstone and Violet Fournier.
