According to this genealogy of Laura Prepon’s mother, Laura’s matrilineal great-great-grandmother, Emily Finck, was the daughter of German immigrants, making Laura of 1/16th German descent. Laura’s grandmother also has a lot of English names on her tree (Elliott, French).
