Kim Coates is a Canadian-American actor. He is known for his roles in the series Sons of Anarchy and Bad Blood, and the film Silent Hill, among many other productions over several decades.

He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the son of Joyce and Fred Coates. He is married to Diana, with whom he has two children, including actress Brenna Coates. He has become a U.S. citizen.

Kim’s paternal grandfather was named Herbert Coates.

Kim’s paternal grandmother was named Jean.
