Keith Moon was an English musician. He was the drummer for rock band The Who. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are also members of the band. His drumming emphasized tom-toms, cymbal crashes, and drum fills, and regularly employed double bass drums. He had previously been with local band the Beachcombers. He was nicknamed “Moon the Loon.”

Keith was the son of Kathleen Winifred and Alfred Charles Moon. He was raised in Wembley. Keith had a daughter with his former wife, model Kim Kerrigan/McLagan.

Keith’s paternal grandfather possibly was Arthur John Moon (the son of John Thomas Moon and Fanny Shrubsole). Arthur was born in Faversham, Kent. John was the son of Richard Moon and Celia Feakins. Fanny was the daughter of Thomas Shrubsole and Anne Croud.

Keith’s paternal grandmother possibly was named Ellen Elizabeth Smith. Ellen was born in Faversham, Kent.

Keith’s maternal grandfather was Harold/Harry John Hopley (the son of John Hopley and Jane Hibbert). Harold was born in Hendon, Middlesex. Keith’s great-grandfather John was born in Cheshire, the son of Thomas Hopley and Margaret Garner.
