She looks Southern German (Bavarian) or Hungarian.
It is interesting that Katie Holmes is 3/8ths German, 3/8ths Irish, and 1/4th English, while Tom Cruise is 7/16ths German, 7/16ths Irish, 1/8th English.
BTW, all the previous information on her genealogy up here was completely wrong… it was from that blame grandma blog and other online genealogies of Katie, who totally misidentified her mother’s maiden name (it’s “Craft”, not “Stothers”) and all of her grandparents’ names.
Her parents aren’t cousins or second cousins, either, like in that Holmes-Stothers genealogy.

If I’m informed rightly, these are three of the largest ethnic groups of the US, perhaps the largest, all three with similar cultural background, so I think it’s quite natural … ? Very many people on these sides have similar ancestry.
I meant the arrangement of their exact fractions is similar in a way.
Yes, I realized that after I posted … It’s nearly identical.
But that hadn’t helped to save their relation. ;-)
She looks very French. Anyway also wears its other ethnicities, since one sees it and says, for example: she has German ancestry.
Agreed, that would have been my first guess.
She has no French Canadian and Scottish in her she is primarily English Irish German and Russian it’s proven on ethnic celebs she has Russian ancestry.
Exotic…not Spanish or Italian in her?
the only Spanish thing she has is the name of her hometown, Toledo, a beautiful city in Spain
Exotic?????? How? She looks white as hell.
So you think italians or spaniards from spain (both originally White european) are exotic?? sorryyyyy???
Just the people that we’re not used to a lot.
I also include Scandinavians as “exotic”.
A typical white person like Tom Cruise and Gwyeneth Paltrow are not “exotic” in my eyes.
well sicilian italians do look exotic
that is just a stereotype. They just look like the other Southern Europeans. Many Sicilians don’t even look Mediterranean.
she has some french ancestry and as you should know, Italian, spaniard or french people are ver very similar, a they all have latin origins….
Katie Holmes has no French ancestry.
“Latin” is not an origin. Latin peoples were mostly multi-ethnic descendants of various ethnic groups who speaks a Romance language.
