Jim Mickle is an American film director and writer. He developed the show Sweet Tooth, of which he has directed episodes of, and for which he has also written. He has directed the films Mulberry Street, Stake Land, We Are What We Are, Cold in July, all of which he co-wrote with Nick Damici, and In the Shadow of the Moon. Jim and Nick also co-developed and co-wrote the show Hap and Leonard, of which Jim also directed episodes.

His sister is actress and production designer Beth Mickle. He was raised in Douglassville, Pennsylvania.

Jim’s paternal grandfather was named James Douglas Mickle.

Jim’s paternal grandmother was named Ann Walker. Ann was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
