Irrfan Khan was an Indian actor. He starred in Bollywood, as well as American and British, roles. His work included the films Salaam Bombay!, The Warrior, Haasil, Maqbool, The Namesake, Life in a… Metro, Slumdog Millionaire, New York, I Love You, The Amazing Spider-Man, Life of Pi, The Lunchbox, Piku, Gunday, Talvar, Jurassic World, Inferno, and Hindi Medium, and the show In Treatment. He was also credited as simply Irrfan.
He was a Muslim. Irrfan was of Pathan background. He was the son of Saeeda Begum Khan and Yaseen Ali Khan. His father was from Jodhpur, and his mother was from the Khajuriya village in Tonk, Rajasthan.
Irrfan was married to writer Sutapa Sikdar, until his death, with whom he had two children.
He is Pathan Indian.
