Harvey is married to Canadian actress, writer, and director Daphna Kastner. He has a son with Daphna, a daughter with his former partner, actress Lorraine Bracco, and a son with his former partner Lisa Karmazin. He has honorary Romanian citizenship.
Harvey’s paternal grandfather was named Abraham Keitel. Abraham was born in Lublin, Lubelskie.
