Mark Margolis was an American actor. His roles included the shows Oz, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul, and the films Scarface, Pi/π, and Gone Baby Gone.

He was the son of Frances and Isidore Margolis, a factory worker. His parents were Jewish emigrants. His father was born in Holobudy, now Belarus. His mother was born in Borispol, Kiev, now Ukraine. Mark was married to Jacqueline, until his death, with whom he had a son, actor Morgan H. Margolis.

Mark’s paternal grandfather was named Louis Margolis (the son of Mote Margolis and Dinke). Louis was born in Poland.

Mark’s paternal grandmother was named Miriam.
