He was born in Limón, Costa Rica, to Chinese parents. His father is from Guangzhou and his mother is from Hong Kong. Harry’s family moved to San Francisco, California, when he was six. Harry speaks English, Cantonese, and Spanish.

Harry is married to actress and dancer Shelby Rabara, with whom he has a daughter. Shelby is of Filipino descent.
