Gary Barlow is an English producer, musician, songwriter, and singer. He rose to fame as a member of the pop group Take That, with Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen, and Robbie Williams. He was a judge on The X Factor UK.

Gary is the son of Marjorie (Cowan) and Colin Barlow. He is married to dancer Dawn Andrews, with whom he has three children.

Gary’s maternal grandparents are named Jim Cowan and Madge. Cowan is often a Scottish surname.
