Ellis Genge is an English professional rugby union player. He has captained England.

He is the son of Richard Genge.

Ellis maternal grandfather’s surname is Grady. He is said to be African-American. An article by Daily Mail wrote that Ellis “recently looked into his family tree and discovered that his adopted grandfather has native American and black Caribbean roots,” with Ellis adding, “My grandad was a war baby. I’m one-eighth red Indian.” Ellis has speculated that he was related to American boxing legend Muhammad Ali through their shared Grady line.
