David Boreanaz is an American actor, television producer, and director. He is known for starring as the vampire Angel on the television shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.
His father is television broadcaster Dave Roberts, originally David Thomas Boreanaz. David is married to actress and model Jaime Bergman, with whom he has two children.
David’s father is of Italian descent, with roots in Torreano, Province of Udine, Friuli Venezia-Giulia, and Valledolmo in Sicily. The surname Boreanaz, Borjanac or Berginc in Slovenian, originates in the Friuli Venezia-Giulia region, from the place name Borjana, and likely indicates at least distant Slovenian ancestry. David’s maternal grandfather was of Irish, German, French, and Swiss ancestry. David’s maternal grandmother was of Slovak descent.
David’s paternal grandfather was named Henry H. Boreanaz (the son of Giuseppe/Joseph Boreanaz, and of Philiphina/Philipena/Philippina/Filipina Minnie, whose maiden name likely was Panebianco). David’s grandfather Henry was born in New York, to Italian parents. Giuseppe was born in Torreano, the son of Andrea Boreanaz, who was born in Masarolis, and of Marianna Zamparutto/Zamparutti.
David’s paternal grandmother was Mildred Piteo/Peteo (the daughter of Pasquale Piteo and Filomena “Marnie” Scioli). Mildred was born in New York. Pasquale was born in Campania, Naples, Italy, and his mother’s name was Anna. Marnie was born in New York, to Italian parents.
David’s maternal grandfather is Kenneth B. Moore (the son of Frank Levi Moore and Agnes Lovey McKinney). Kenneth was born in Pennsylvania. Frank was the son of George B. Moore and Laura J. Kissinger. Agnes was the daughter of Leonard Millard Fillmore McKinney and Catherine Agnes Swam.
David’s maternal grandmother is Christina/Christine Skrha (the daughter of Paul Skrha and Anna Yurcik). Christina was born in New York, to Slovak parents, with roots in Sobotište.

How do you know that he has ancestry from Sicily?
Torreano-> Province of Udine, Friuli Venezia-Giulia

which is his ancestor named “Panebianco”? It’s a Southern Italian last name, not strictly Sicilian.
There’s a Fillipa Panebianco from Valledolmo immigrating in 1901, final destination Buffalo, NY, joining Giuseppe Panebianco, and she was born in 1887, just like Phillippina Boreanaz.

How can his father be 100% Italian with the last name Boreanaz?
“The surname Boreanaz is from Northern Italy, and David’s father is of Italian descent.”
Is it a distinctly Northern Italian name though? Wondering because the surname “Franco” could be Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, or even Sephardic. BTW mind conforming Anthony Rizzo?
Wow thanks. That was quick

According to this site, David’s father has roots from Valle d’Aosta (Aosta Valley). I read in a forum (https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/it.cultura.linguistica.italiano/ElEDEdIEf48) that “Boreanaz” surname sounds similar to other last names from that region, but it’s mostly common in Friuli Venezia-Giulia.
In other words, his paternal grandfather was from North Italy and his maternal grandfather was from South Italy.
* I meant paternal grandmother
He Doesn’t look like Pauly D, or Joe pesci, or Ray Romano himselve. So the irish,swiss,German, and Slovak really help alot.
David’s mother is a Italian Catholic.
His father has Irish, Swiss, German, Slovak, and Italian ancestry.
Therefore, David is over 50% Italian.
Not all Italians look like Joe Pesci and Ray Romano. That is a ignorant stereotype. Visit the country. Their phenotypes are very diverse.
David’s mom is Italian.
His father has Irish, Swiss, German, Slovak, and Italian ancestry.

Hey lopac you need to learn how to spell and check your history books anglo means British.
Anglo = English.
And Slovaks are definitely not Anglo-Saxon. That was a very ignorant comment . . . But it’s usual for Lopac.
it’s obviously you guys are in denial thinking italians are white. Just because they’re from europe don’t mean they’re white.
Wow, you are incredibly ignorant and likely generally racist. Do some research, educate yourself. Despite your prejudices, Italians are indeed ethically and genealogically white caucasians. Google is your friend here. Go to Italy, there are tons of pure blooded Italians who look typically ‘white’ even by your standards. Your stereotypes likely come from seeing Italian americans who typically come from the south of Italy, where it’s a lot warmer, thus through centuries of acclimatization the people can look more tan, but they are still genetically white caucasians.
Do some research before making such blatantly ignorant and borderline racist comments.
All I can’t say is he is not a moor like most Italians
you’re Colombian, STFU!
No I wish the girls are find as fuck, But I’am not
