Cynthia is married to art dealer William “Bill” Powers. She has a daughter with her former husband, interior designer, sculptor, and landscape architect William “Bill” Keenan; and a daughter with Bill.

Cynthia’s maternal grandfather was Barney Brienza (the son of Joseph Brienza and Clementine). Barney was born in New Jersey, to Italian parents.
