Mychael Danna is a Canadian film composer. He won both the Golden Globe and Oscar for Best Original Score for Life of Pi. He is the brother of fellow composer Jeff Danna.

His father may have been of Italian origin, though some Danna families in Canada come from Ireland.

Mychael’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Broadhurst.
